 Cherokee County is located in the foothills of the Ozark mountains. It is the Capitol of the Cherokee Nation as well as  the tree capitol of Oklahoma.  Lake Tenkiller and Fort Gibson Lake with miles of shoreline, beckon you to come and play! This is truly a hunters paradise. Also known as a tourist destination point. Wether you like to capture your prey with bow and arrow, a rifle, rod and reel or your camera.....you've come to the right place. The Illinois river with its twists and turns is known for its rafting, kayaking  , canoe floating and camping. Tahlequah is a close knit community commited to  FAMILY. Old fashioned Farmers Market on Saturday morning and Movies in the Park on Saturday night. There are several large employers such as North Eastern State University, Tahlequah City and Hastings hospitals, Cherokee Nation and local Nurseries  Fiber optics is available in the rural areas which allows those who work on line to enjoy the beauty of working out of their home. Our down town has lots of quaint businesses and continues to grow at a slow and steady rate. When you are ready to make a move up or are planning to downsize..... give me a call.
